Minimally invasive procedure – brow lift is a procedure that raises a lowered forehead and eyebrows, thereby rejuvenating the eye area.
Forehead lift and brow lift (commonly known as Brow lift) is becoming a very popular procedure worldwide, including at our clinic. The face, particularly the forehead, contributes to the overall appearance of a person, and the area between the eyebrows emphasizes individuality. However, during the aging process, there is not only a loss of elasticity but also a descent of the forehead, leading to the formation of wrinkles between the eyebrows and forehead. The most common expressions on the face often include a worried, tired, wrinkled, or frowning appearance, which adds years and detracts from beauty. Modern and gentle methods can resolve these accompanying phenomena with the help of aesthetic surgical lifting procedures (to mitigate signs of aging, soften facial expressions, etc.).
Clients often initially request eyelid surgery, but they frequently do not realize that the underlying issues are usually a drooping or sagging forehead or eyebrows. Eyelid surgery can be combined with a forehead and brow lift for an even higher quality and more effective result. A brow lift is categorized as a procedure that elevates a sagging forehead and eyebrows, thus rejuvenating the eye area. The eyebrows can be sculpted, wrinkles at the root of the nose can be smoothed, and both transverse and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead can be addressed, or the eyebrows can be slightly repositioned to achieve a more brightened and optimistic appearance.
The procedure is performed in local anaesthesia or in general anaesthesia or analgo-sedation. A brow or forehead lift can be done in several ways, either by lifting the forehead, eyebrows or just by re-shaping eyebrows to perfect their symmetry. It’s always possible to combine both ways. In the case of standard plastic surgery treatment, the cut is done at the top of the forehead above the hairline and it’s hidden beneath the hair or it is done just above the eyebrows so that the scar is hidden by the eyebrows (in the case of remodelling). Forehead or brow lift takes about 1.5 hours and allows you to return to work and personal life after approximately one-week convalescence, sometimes even the next day, depending on the treated area and the size of the surgery. The treatment is both for women and men and it can be combined with other aesthetic treatments such as facelift, lipo-filling, botulinum toxin etc. for even better results. If you decide to undergo a forehead and brow lift, we will always plan the surgery according to your facial features and aesthetic pre-conditions.

Brow or forehead lifting raises and smooths the area at the site of the procedure to achieve a younger appearance. It is a versatile solution with minimal postoperative strain and pain.
The surgery can be combined with other less or more invasive procedures. This can be both eyelid surgery and a classic facelift in general anaesthesia.
After anesthetic administration, depending on the size of the area, short elongated incisions are made in the hairy part of the forehead and at the temples, or a larger incision is made between the two ears. The skin tissue on the forehead is lifted, an endoscope may be used, and it is reduced, meaning that excess skin is removed and the wound is sutured after the drains are inserted. Following the procedure performed under general anesthesia, hospitalization is necessary. The operated area is secured with a special compression bandage to prevent significant swelling, and its purpose is also to aid the tissues in healing more quickly. The area may show swelling, depending on the sensitivity of the skin.
The procedure is quick, safe, and well-tolerated, but there are certain restrictions associated with it. It is necessary to refrain from smoking for about 2 weeks prior to the procedure—smoking increases the risk of complications and impairs healing.
After the procedure, swelling, redness, bruising, tingling, and stiffness may appear for approximately 2–10 days, which will gradually subside on their own. The patient will attend dressing changes and will have a follow-up appointment for suture removal after 14 days. If drains were used during the treatment, they will be removed after about 2 days. Sleeping in an elevated position is recommended. After one week, you can begin activities that you engaged in prior to the procedure; however, we do not recommend any significant physical strain, including sports, sauna use, tanning beds, or sunbathing, for at least one month. Care should be taken with gentle brushing and avoiding hot air from hairdryers. The procedure generally requires a minimum of one week of recovery with a sick leave. Compliance with the postoperative regimen set by the treating physician is always necessary. Depending on the individual functioning of the body, skin elasticity, and genetic predisposition, the procedure is of a permanent nature. Today’s modern and high-quality techniques, along with professional and human approaches, are becoming the standard in aesthetics and surgery; however, it is important to choose the best care that also considers your health, as that is the most valuable to us. We help you become more beautiful, gain new self-confidence, and learn to love your new body, even if it’s just a small adjustment, as it must always align with your expectations.
