Breast enlargement, or breast surgery, is one of the most common surgical procedures for women, which is sough-after for one particular purpose. Women aren’t satisfied with the size, shape or asymmetries of their breasts. Some patients want breast enlargement for aesthetic reasons, others need to recover the size of their breasts from before pregnancy or after significant weight loss or illness. Breast enlargement is performed in general anaesthesia for approximately 1-1.5 hours. Incisions approximately 4 cm long are always done under the breasts according to doctor’s the proposal, in order to create an implant placement option. Implants are placed under the breast muscle or under the mammary gland. In other less frequent cases, access from an incision in the armpit or around the areola is used for implant insertion. This depends on the patient’s body dispositions and the effect we need to achieve. Drains are introduced into the treated area, which improve drainage of the blood and tissue liquids over 24 hours, accelerate healing and eliminate inflammatory processes. After implant insertion, wounds are sutured with absorbable material.
After the surgery, the patient receives an elastic reinforced bra to fix the implants in place and is hospitalised as necessary for 1-2 days. After a check-up and the removal of drains, the patient can go home with the doctor’s instructions for home care.

Therefore, all of our anaesthesia are performed by the so-called low-flow anaesthesia with premium anaesthetic gas. It means that waking up is far easier for the client and the unpleasant effects of anaesthesia are virtually eliminated.
Breast augmentation surgery (augmentation) is considered an invasive surgical procedure, and it can only be undergone by a patient in good health. Approximately 3 weeks before the procedure, we recommend discontinuing blood-thinning medications, including those containing acetylsalicylic acid, which could cause increased bleeding during and after the procedure. It is also advisable to limit smoking before and after the procedure, as it significantly slows down the healing process.
After the breast augmentation procedure, swelling and tenderness may occur, which typically subside within a few days. Breast augmentation (augmentation mammoplasty) requires a 1- to 2-day hospitalization, and postoperative care is necessary, including approximately a 10-day period of rest. Elastic garments should be worn continuously for 4 days, after which showering is allowed. However, wearing the elastic garment is essential for at least 1 month. Avoid physical exertion for 2 months, as well as visiting a sauna or solarium. All stitches are absorbable, eliminating the need for removal. To reduce the formation of scars, it is advisable to incorporate gentle pressure massages into care approximately 2 weeks post-surgery and to apply high-quality moisturizing creams. Scars that remain after the procedure will fade over time. The final effect is visible approximately 3 months after the surgery. An effective method of breast augmentation using quality implants provides fuller shape and a more attractive appearance. Today’s modern techniques allow for excellent results; however, regular check-ups are recommended once a year following breast augmentation.
